What We Believe

Our statement of faith — the foundation everything at Cornerstone is built on.

Our Statement of Faith

Eight convictions that shape our teaching, our worship and how we serve Midwest City.

01

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired and only infallible, authoritative written Word of God.

02

The Trinity

One God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

03

Jesus the Messiah

The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His miracles; His vicarious and atoning death; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His personal return in power and glory.

Who is Jesus?
04

Salvation in Christ

Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential. Repentance from sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to come into a relationship with God.

05

The Holy Spirit

The present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. His power and gifts are available to believers today.

06

Healing

The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body through believing prayer.

07

Water Baptism & Communion

Water baptism and the regular practice of Communion are important, Scripture-commanded demonstrations of our faith in Christ — though they are not essential for salvation.

08

Eternal Salvation

The resurrection of both the saved and the lost — the one to everlasting life, the other to everlasting separation from God.
