Day 1: How to Connect With God Through Prayer

Prayer is not meant to be complicated. In fact, Jesus taught that prayer begins with a relationship, not a formula.

When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He started with the words, "Our Father in Heaven." Those three words remind us that God is not distant. He is not waiting for us to prove ourselves before approaching Him. Through Jesus Christ, we have been adopted into the family of God and can come boldly before Him.

Many people struggle with prayer because they think they need the perfect words. The truth is that God is more interested in your heart than your vocabulary. Prayer is simply a conversation between a loving Father and His child.

As we begin these 21 Days of Prayer, today's challenge is simple: spend time talking with God about your life. Thank Him for what He has done. Share your concerns. Celebrate your victories. Ask Him to guide your next steps.

The goal is not perfection. The goal is connection.

Whether you live in Midwest City, Oklahoma City, Del City, Choctaw, or anywhere in Eastern Oklahoma County, God desires a personal relationship with you. Prayer is the doorway into that relationship.
