Day 14: How to Pray for Others Through Intercession

At the deepest part of the Tabernacle was the Ark of the Covenant—the place representing God's presence.

From that place of intimacy comes intercession.

Intercession simply means praying on behalf of others.

Many people around us desperately need prayer:

  • Family members

  • Friends

  • Neighbors

  • Church leaders

  • Government leaders

  • Teachers

  • First responders

Intercessory prayer moves us beyond self-focused faith.

It teaches us to carry the burdens of others.

Today, create a list of five people who need God to move in their lives.

Pray specifically for them.

Pray boldly for them.

Pray consistently for them.

Throughout Midwest City, Oklahoma City, Del City, Choctaw, and Eastern Oklahoma County, there are people whose eternity may be impacted because someone faithfully prayed.

Perhaps that someone is you.

Scripture

1 Timothy 2:1-4
