Day 5: The Power of Forgiveness in Prayer

One of the greatest barriers to spiritual growth is unresolved unforgiveness.

Jesus taught us to pray:

"Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors."

Forgiveness does not excuse wrongdoing.
Forgiveness does not erase consequences.
Forgiveness does not mean trust is instantly restored.

Forgiveness means releasing your right to revenge and placing justice in God's hands.

The same grace God has extended to us is the grace He calls us to extend to others.

Today, ask God two questions:

  1. Is there any sin I need to confess?

  2. Is there anyone I need to forgive?

Freedom often begins with those questions.

Scripture

1 John 1:9

Lord, search my heart. Reveal any area where I need Your forgiveness and help me forgive others as You have forgiven me.
